Welcome to the Savvy Fashionista

I want to extend a great big welcome to my fellow savvy fashionistas!

I love fashion, handbags, jewelry and home decor more than the average person. Really. Seriously.  You could call me a little obsessed.  I spend way too much time shopping online, in the mall and fun, trendy boutiques.  I might also mention that I’m a true bargain hunter as well.  I love cruising the sale aisles and browsing the racks looking for the perfect item at the perfect price.

I have decided to share my love of shopping and bargain hunting with my fellow fashionistas on a budget.

You can buy some things at full price, but why pay so much if you don’t have to?  Let me help you find the perfect holiday dress, the cutest designer handbags, shiny jewelry, elegant home decor and my favorite… shoes!!  Of course there will be a lot more than this too, I’m going to share it all with you. Consider me your very own personal stylist.

By the way, I’m Sophie. I got so excited talking about shopping that I forgot to properly introduce myself.

A little about me:

I’m 36, currently living outside of Chicago, I’m a mother of two and I do not drive a minivan!  I’m originally from the Washington DC metropolitan area. I was once happily married, but am now single (and content). My career life has been interesting to say the least. I’ve worked in the military division of a major U.S. corporation, I worked for the Washington news bureau of a major newspaper and even a national association.  The irony is that none of them were glamorous.. not one. I want glamour! I want glitz! I want to be a fashionista!  And that’s what I am today.. I’m me. I’m happy.  I’m also on a budget, unfortunately. That doesn’t stop me though, because I’m a savvy shopper and I know a great find when I see it.  Want to know more? You’ll have to contact me!
